I don't often have blog candy to share with you but seeing as we are all getting ready to give gifts to all our love ones I thought this would be a great time for you to have a chance to get something for yourself. The Blog Candy I have been given to give to you is from Stampendous. You will absolutely adore this image this year and years to come. This is Saint Nick. Here is a card I made using him. You will receive this stamp (not the card) and a sentiment to go with it. What do you have to do to get him? Look below...
All you have to do is become a follower of my blog and post a comment in this post. Be sure and leave an email address or come back by next saturday to see if you are a winner. I appreciate all of you a "whole bunch" and hope your Christmas is full of peace!
...and don't forget.....
This is a reminder that their is a fun challenge going on over at Stampendous this month. All you have to do is create something using at least 3 of the colors brown, cream, pink and gold. Here is my new card I whipped up for the challenge using the Stampendous Jumbo Snowflakes (check with your local stores to find this stamp) I embossed with Stampendous Clear Bark embossing powder (my Favorite). And yes, their is 6 layers of paper...and weighs a ton!
This challenge runs through January 5th @11:59pm EST and is open to the US. The prize is Amore Frame Perfectly Clear set. Be sure and use the little linky button to link to your project so Stampendous can find you. Some of the other team member have candy too so go a hoppin' to see what they created too THEIR CARDS AND PROJECTS GO LIVE IN THE MORNING (sorry, posted a day early)
This month challenge is to make a card or project using the colors pink, brown, cream and gold or at least 3 of them. I made this card for the Stampendous Catalog. I took 2 wide pieces of Crepe ribbon (by Creative Impressions) slightly overlapping and taped them down. Using Versamark I stamped and then embossed the image using Stampendous Clear Bark embossing powder. The Embossing powder fused the two pieces of ribbon together. I flipped the ribbon over and colored using Copic R83 on the reverse because embossing powder and Copics don't play nice. I flipped the ribbon back over and adhered to the card.
I hope you enjoy the little tid-bit. You can go HERE and get your stamp from Stampendous and make your own. The challenge starts now and runs through January 5th
If you've been stuck in a traditional holiday color mode, this is your opportunity to think outside the Christmas crayon box! Please join us in our challenge this month, and link your creation(s) to the InLinkz. You don't have to use Stampendous images and/or products on your designs…but we sure love it when you do! One lucky random winner will receive this fabulous Stampendous prize, Amore Frames Perfectly Clear set

Here is a fun card i made using Stampendous Shirt Waists. I stamped and embossed on tissue paper, then crinkled it up a bit. I used my copics to distress the edges of the cork. I had some old button cards in my stash so I used them up. This was quick but turned out quite nice I thought.
There is a challenge going on over at MakeItColourful. Go HERE if you want to see some more samples. This is what I created for this challenge. The challenge is "color white". I used neutral grays for the white shadows. The image came from MakeItCrafty.
Back by popular demand I am heading to the Chandler area to Stamp Works for a Copic card class. We will be making some cards and coloring them with your markers. Call Nic for preferred colors and reserve one of the few last spots 480 899-5958
The dates have been set! The location has been planned. The excitement is mounting. Join me in the 2nd "Copic Build-A-Book Boot Camp" in Jacksonville, Florida on May 4th, 5th and 6th at The Enchanted Scrapbook. Limited seating, so get your spot reserved now. I needed to do something for ME...yes, today it all about me...me...me! I drew, I Colored, I accomplished what I was aiming for. These are some Chilis from my garden that had sat in the Arizona sun and dried up.
A few things I have learned. When your dealing with a pencil sketch, start with the background first. Secondly you CAN use any paper you have sitting on your desk...it doesn't have to be "Copic compatible". The paper I used (thank you Marianne) is All In One printer paper. It tuned out so cool and was so easy to blend. This paper takes a bit of practice as it soaks up ink fast and spreads. Also note I am not completely happy with my shadows...but I am over it and moving on.
Here is Peppermint Brooke from SimplyBetty's Sketchy Zombie Christmas. I am not a pink person AT ALL...but to prove I can I colored it all in pink I did. This stamp is now available at Simplybettystamps. Check her out HERE.
Prize winners have been drawn. If your name is on this list please contact Stampendous or the blog owner you were chosen from with your mailing information so we can get you your goodies. Thank you all for playing along with us! If prizes are not claimed by friday of this week, new names will be drawn.
All of us on the Stampendous Design Teams are sooo excited about this new technique...an accidental creative process discovered by our own Fran Seiford, Chief Artistic Officer at Stampendous! There is a quote that says, "There are no mistakes, just opportunities for embellishment!" How true is that? Today our super-creative-with-mistakes designers are excited to show you how you can deliberately create with gorgeous sloppiness. For more info on the process of Encrusting with the Fran•tage Essentials, check out the YouTube video HERE. I hope you just came to my blog from Trudee's Blog...now hop over to Pam's Blog. If you get lost along the way return to Stampendous Blog. Here are a few of my creations using the Encrusted Jewel Technique
I will be teaching this technique at Stamp Works and The Craft Retreat in Arizona. Be sure and call the stores to reserve your seat. Go HERE to get the numbers.
As you hop from blog to blog, oohing and aahing over the Encrusted Jewel fabulousness, be sure to leave some love (and your contact email) for the designers, as well as on the Stampendous blog. Unfortunately only US participants are applicable for prizes. Your comments are your insurance that you have an opportunity to win one of four blog candy goody boxes of Stampendous Fran•tage Essentials for you to create your own Encrusted Jewel goodness:
Aged Black Prize Package
Aged Silver Prize package
Aged Gold Prize Package
Shabby White Prize Package
You get until 8PM EST on Sunday to leave your comments on the blogs. 4 winners will be chosen randomly off the blogs and announced on Monday. Happy Hopping for ideas!!
